The Temporary Development Expense Assistant will provide financial administrative support to our global marketing team, specifically processing global fundraising invoices received by IOC staff for payment among the eight legal entities in which we fundraising.  This Assistant will have a sound understanding of our financial coding structure to be able to perform this temporary function.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Working with Development staff, receive invoices, prepare Payment Request Forms, and submit to IFAW Finance Department for expense recognition and vendor payment in the Oracle Financial System through February, 2022.
  • Participate in Unit4, our new financial system, training sessions during the month of February, 2022.
  • Register Development IOC invoices directly into Unit 4 for review, approval, and vendor payment.
  • Ensure proper financial coding is used on all invoices.
  • Store documentation as defined by the Development Expense Manager for efficient cost finalization review.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Two + years’ experience in an accounting background required
  • Strong knowledge of financial coding required
  • Accounting software experience required
  • Strong knowledge and operation of Microsoft Office required; knowledge of Adobe Pro a plus
  • Superior planning and organizational skills and ability to manage logistics and communications in a multi-task, fast paced environment.  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to problem solve with little guidance.  Ability to prioritize tasks daily.
