Job Summary:
Westat is seeking qualified individuals to work with multidisciplinary research teams on a variety of research projects focusing on communications related to behavioral health and substance use, health care quality, patient experience, patient safety, and health care delivery. This is a remote work eligible position.
Job responsibilities:
• Leading tasks involving the development of written communications for website content, program and policy briefs, toolkit materials, reports, and conference summaries.
• Conducting quality assurance reviews and editing work for client deliverables.
• Developing agendas and facilitating internal and external meetings, webinars, and large conference calls involving clients, experts and stakeholders.
• Writing meeting or call notes and managing follow through of action items.
• Developing and managing timelines.
• Conducting qualitative interviews and analyzing qualitative data.
• Participating in survey development and cognitive testing.
Basic qualifications:
• A master's degree in public health, social sciences or a related field
• At least 3 years of work experience in relevant areas.
Preferred qualifications:
• Previous experience working on communications tasks for federal research contracts and/or health services research projects, and project management skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Excellent attention to detail and must be comfortable and effective working on multiple, complex tasks in close coordination with others under limited direction.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and good interpersonal skills are essential.
