ITL Conference Projects Coordinator, Stearns Center for Teaching and Learning The George Mason University, Office of Stearns Center for Teaching and Learning invites applications for an Innovations in Teaching and Learning (ITL) Conference Projects Coordinator (part-time) position. George Mason University has a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff, and strongly encourages candidates to apply who will enrich Mason's academic and culturally inclusive environment.About the Position: The Conference Projects Coordinator in Stearns Center provides project management and outreach assistance for implementing the structures, communications, and client tracking of the annual Innovations in Teaching and Learning Conference (each September). The position is part time (15-20 hours per week) and reports to the Events Manager/Conference Director while collaborating with other Stearns Center team members. This position is designed to work through the 2022 Innovations in Teaching and Learning Conference and final wrap-up events, through December 14, 2022. The position is available as a 100% remote position, and may be renewed for an additional year if budget allows. Responsibilities: Assist the Events Manager/Conference Director with scheduling weekly and monthly workflows;Provide project supervision to guide team members and faculty volunteers in coordinating and completing tasks;Coordinate monthly communications to reviewers, presenters, participants, and team members, as well as on-campus and online publicity;Liaise with on-campus event-related offices to ensure timely actions;Accurately track presenter and participant data across in-house platforms (Excel and Microsoft Teams) and public venues (website, conference program);Help track and post on-demand conference session materials; andProvide post-conference analysis of participant data and project workflow to enable 2023 conference planning.Required Qualifications: Successful project management experience;Exceptional communication skills;Ability to work as part of a team, but also act independently; andExperience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word.Preferred Qualifications:Experience managing medium- to large-scale events;Experience working with educational events; andExperience managing and tracking client data.
