Adjunct Faculty, English LanguageThe George Mason University Office of the Provost invites applicants for Adjunct Faculty, English Language instructor positions under the INTO Mason Academic Division. Responsibilities:Organized, reliable, and committed individuals are sought to teach integrated skills (e.g., reading/writing and listening/speaking) in our intensive Academic English program and English for Academic Purposes courses. Teaching assignments may include one or more of the following:Academic English Core course (reading/writing/grammar focus) for 10 hours per week;Oral Communication Skills course (listening/speaking/vocabulary focus) for six hours/week;Elective course (content-based language instruction) for two to four hours per week; andEnglish for Academic Purposes, Graduate and Undergraduate courses (one to four credits/course).Required Qualifications:Must have a minimum of a master's degree in TESOL/TEFL or a TESL Certificate, as well as successful language teaching experience (a minimum of three years is strongly desired).Employment is contingent upon providing the university, prior to the first day of employment, official documentation of degrees earned. International degree holders are responsible for providing a certified third-party translation and evaluation of their academic transcripts.Current qualified George Mason University graduate students are encouraged to apply and will be hired into a Graduate Lecturer position.
