We are seeking an E-commerce Lead to join the subscriptions marketing team. This person will help further The Post's subscriptions goals by working collaboratively with our product team to test and optimize onsite touchpoints to turn Washington Post browsers into buyers.

  • Partner with our product development teams to build and test new features for our checkout experience on desktop, mobile web and native apps with the goal of improving the customer experience, conversion rate and new subscription starts
  • Partner with other members of the marketing team on executing tests (UX, on-site copy, cart-abandon, etc.) around product and pricing strategy
  • Work with our in-house tool, Offer Builder, to execute onsite marketing campaigns as well as be hands-on with other third-party tools (e.g. Instapage)
  • Work with our product and legal teams to ensure our conversion flows and touchpoints are compliant around the world
  • Ideate and own a set of initiatives seeking to localize the checkout experience in key ex-US geographies
  • Own ad hoc exploratory work, conducting industry research and analyzing trends to identify opportunities to drive further growth on current online platforms as well as incremental opportunities via new channels
  • Design and implement reporting solutions enabling stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions
  • Monitor existing metrics as well as develop and propose new metrics to make actionable intelligence available to business stakeholders

  • 5+ years' work experience in a marketing or product e-commerce role
  • Demonstrated experience in improving conversion rates and flows around checkout
  • Facility with data (asking for the right kind; manipulating data to interpret results; making decisions based on numbers)
  • Experience using Tableau and Google Analytics; all Microsoft programs, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work efficiently in a hybrid environment
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Love and appreciation for news media and The Washington Post
  • Bachelor's degree
