Academic Integrity Coordinator The George Mason University, Office of Academic Integrity invites applications for Academic Integrity Coordinator position. The mission of the Office of Academic Integrity is to provide education around issues of academic integrity as well as resolve cases of academic dishonesty as they arise. This commitment rises out of our adherence to the six fundamental values of academic integrity as put forth by the International Center for Academic integrity. They include honesty, trust, fairness, respect, responsibility, and courage.Responsibilities:The Academic Integrity Coordinator position is designed to provide substantive administrative support to the operations of the Office of Academic Integrity. Case ManagementServe as the Guardian Database Administrator, serving as liaison with Campus Kaizen for upgrades, issues, and feature requests; Audit ongoing cases for progress through the honor committee system, including sanction tracking, hearing scheduling, and document exchange with involved parties; Manage the online shared drive, moving to purge files that have aged beyond the record retention requirement; Oversee the process of case adjudication, ensuring data is entered properly into the database by end users; and Assist with compliance with Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests received by the office.Office Support/Customer ServiceDevelop strong relationships with academic departmental contacts in order to better arrange the exchange of information;Interact with students, faculty, and outside individuals who have been provided proper FERPA access to field process questions and providing guidance regarding the honor committee process;Attend staff meetings;Assist with marketing and outreach efforts for the Office of Academic Integrity;Provide front desk support to the SUB I Suite 4100 Office Manager; andAssist with revision of office documents, including the Honor Code, assessment tools, and marketing materials.Metrics, Reporting, and Data UpkeepCreate and maintain reports used to gather metrics, including annual data collection related to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); andPerform monthly audits of cases received, sanctions assigned, charges assigned, and resolution options.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience; Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds;Ability to adhere to FERPA regulations and maintain confidentiality with regard to student educational records;Skill and proficiency in Microsoft Excel;Ability to edit communications for grammar, spelling, punctuation and tone; skill in effective oral and written communication;Ability to effectively complete work and multi-task with frequent interruptions and handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality;Ability to effectively interpret policy, procedures, and best practices;Ability to maintain moderately complex records and ensure their confidentiality; follow verbal and written instructions; work under pressure and meet deadlines; resolve problems and complaints and work with customers sensitively and effectively; understand and interpret policies and procedures;Experience providing customer service to the public and employees of an organization;Experience interpreting policy, procedures, and best practices; andExperience working collaboratively and in communication with diverse individuals with differing needs.
