Responsibilities

  • Maintain open source and commercial software inventory to address budgeting, software compliance, contracts, and cost analysis.
  • Respond to requests from software stakeholders for specific IT software asset management information.
  • Maintain situational awareness of all IT assets linking hardware, software, primary user and organizational information together.
  • Assist in enterprise license true-up and reconciliation.
  • Monitor supplier performance under the direction of the Asset Manager, work with suppliers on issue management.
  • Monitor software lifecycle management to ensure proper maintenance tracking of assets across the enterprise.
  • Assist in the development of processes and procedures to automate the visibility of key asset statistics.
  • Validate knowledge-based entries to ensure consistency of processes.


Required Skills & Required Experience

  • BA/BS IT/IS Management, Contract or Vendor Management, or 3 to 5 years of experience of an equivalent combination of education and experience in software asset management or software contract management in the technology sector.
  • IAITAM certifications, Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) or Certified ITIL Foundation or a strong knowledge of Software Asset Management principals / practices preferred.
  • Working knowledge of asset management tools and technologies. (i.e.: ServiceNow ITSM and SNOW License Manager)
  • Strong knowledge of product use rights for Microsoft, Adobe and engineering design applications including licensing experience with Microsoft O365.
  • Vendor management and Service Level Agreement experience.
  • Possess strong analytical, problem solving skills, including the ability to accumulate, organize, and assimilate large amounts of information.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and documentation abilities to support Help Desk staff.
