The Project Analyst will participate in the implementation of assigned projects. Coordinates and completes activities in support of overall project. Tracks progress against milestones, budgets, or other performance indicators, and prepares reports.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the day-to-day planning and execution of events, consumer experiences or other projects and their related promotion plans in support of the goals of the AARP Virtual Community Center, the Fun & Fulfillment Enterprise Issue, AARP Movies for Grownups editorial franchise and other editorial promotions initiatives.
  • Manages all details related to the project or event, including budgeting and contracts, ensuring execution of promotion tactics, production/execution, and managing key aspects of planning such as venue booking, and creation and management of ticketing sites, and tracking project costs.
  • Manages multiple events or projects simultaneously at different stages of the project lifecycle, while coordinating with other project managers on the team to ensure integration into department overall projects.
  • Collaborates and coordinates with program stakeholders at the National office and in the State offices, as well as external vendors and partners throughout the project lifecycle. Tracks, analyzes and reports results to support Association goals around member engagement and relevance.
  • Assists in maintaining the FindFun@aarp.org and Movies for Grownups inboxes with prompt and professional customer service.
  • Works with the team to continually optimize department workflows and standard practices.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of program, product or event management experience required.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing programs, products or events including strategy, plans, budgets, marketing strategies, performance metrics, and partnerships, with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience developing and managing both in-person and virtual events highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success building internal and external strategic partnerships and collaborations.
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and tracking performance data and reporting on results.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and working on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Ability to produce high-quality reports and presentations and clearly communicate strategies and results.
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills, team player, with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Proven ability to meet goals and objectives while working in a collaborative, matrixed environment.
  • This is an open-space office environment and the ability to work effectively surrounded by moderate noise is required.
