Description Are you an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk that is looking for a short-term contract / temporary to hire position? Robert Half is currently trying to fill this position with a candidate that wants to become a crucial part in a team environment. A successful Accounts Payable Clerk will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Alexandria, Virginia area and will be a short-term contract / temporary to hire position.Your responsibilities in this role- Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis- Carry out additional tasks as assigned- Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling- Operate full-cycle A/P- Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents- Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners- Provide internal and external audit assistance as required- Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks- Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed Requirements - Accounts Payable (AP) experience highly desired- Proficiency in Check Runs- Microsoft Excel experience preferred- Solid understanding of Coding Invoices- Batching experience preferred- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred- Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds- High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills- Spreadsheet and database capabilities Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
