Our customer, the DoD CIO C3 Infrastructure Directorate, is responsible for the oversight of crucial telecommunications infrastructure to include SATCOM systems, tactical data links, C2/ information sharing and DISN services. As a member of our team, you will facilitate the coordination of reference architectures which describe the C3I capabilities for which the DoD CIO is responsible; this includes assisting in analysis of existing and projected use, development of reference architectures, modeling, description/documentation and approval. Assist in implementing and maintaining analytic and collaboration tools which foster the DoD CIO's governance role such as web-based portals and collaboration software [e.g., the DoD 365 Impact Level 5 implementation of Microsoft Teams]. You will be on the forefront of using engineering and modelling for the Nation's critical communications capabilities.Responsibilities and DutiesUpdate and maintain the DoD SATCOM Enterprise Management & Control Reference Architecture (DoD Enterprise Satellite Communications (SATCOM)-Management and Control (ESC-MC) Reference Architecture).Coordinate and publish the DoD SATCOM Terminal Reference Architecture.Develop models for DoD Gateway Operations and Reference (GOaR) study/architecture.Conduct evaluations of the resilience of current, planned & alternative SATCOM space system architectures.Assist in the performance of an AoA to evaluate alternative architectures and capabilities for an integrated SATCOM resource and service restoral management system.Support of the development of a DoD ESC-MC Solution Architecture and DoD ESC-MC Implementation Plan.Support the development of a DoD SATCOM Ground Infrastructure (SGI) Reference Architecture.Assist in the analysis of the integration of commercial SATCOM managed services as part of an overall "Hybrid"A' DoD SATCOM Enterprise architecture.Member of the team which maintains the DoD CIO's SATCOM Smart [reference] BookAssist in keeping information posted to the DoD CIO's JIE portal/web page for SATCOM currentWorks directly with the government DoD CIO (C3I) SATCOM lead on execution of assigned roles. Attends daily staff mobility team staff meeting, maintains status of assigned areas to include action items/suspenses, attends meetings with the DoD and across the Federal government and Industry, compiles engagements reports for submission to the government.
