Job Description:As a top 10 Healthcare staffing company, Supplemental Health Care knows how to support Speech-Language Pathologists in their career, and our Schools Center of Excellence brings the same award-winning support and guidance to thousands of school professionals across the US We've partnered with a school district in Towson, Maryland to hire a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist Mentor.BUILD Your Future is Supplemental Health Care's unique mentoring program for related services professionals who are new to the school setting and who will benefit from the support and guidance of an experienced advisor. The School Mentor interfaces on a regular and consistent basis with the Supplemental Health Care school talent who have recently graduated from an accredited university program or are transitioning to schools from another setting.SLP School Mentor Contract Details:Serve as a liaison between Supplemental Health Care SLPs and on-site supervisors.Provide guidance for Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellows, related services professionals, and other health care providers new to the school setting.Provide guidance and mentoring through group or individual face-to-face interactions or virtual connections.Facilitate and complete requirements for the mentee's state licensure as required.Meet state and federal compliance requirements.Encourage and facilitate the identification of future career directions and professional development opportunities for mentees.Assist mentees during the first year of service delivery to chart their career journey, prepare to experience success and overcome roadblocks.Organize the related services program to effectively and efficiently manage the assigned caseload and workload.Demonstrate and provide evidence-based assessment, treatments, and best practices.Escalate concerns and issues to Principal, onsite supervisor and/or Supplemental Health Care Representative as needed.We understand thatRequirements:Education: Graduate of an accredited program for Speech-Language PathologyActive SLP license in MDMinimum three (3) years current experience working in a school setting within the past five (5) yearsKnowledgeable about guidelines for mentoring Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellows, related services professionals, and other health careproviders required by the profession and/or state.Knowledge about state and district requirements for service delivery.American Heart Association BLSProof of current, unrestricted driver's license, and auto insurance.
