Atlantic Maintenance Group, LLC (AMG), a growing landscaping company based in Brooklyn Park, MD is currently seeking candidates for a newly created full-time Controller position. The ideal candidate will report to the CFO and be responsible for overseeing many accounting activities including accounts receivable, payables, estimates and close outs, cash flow, fixed assets, and management of other entity activities. AMG has been in business for over 10 years, has expanded to neighboring states, and diversified its businesses. Key Responsibilities Maintain accounting systems, perform account analysis and reconciliations. Work closely with our internal accounting staff to ensure accurate and timely accounting of transactions. Communicate/coordinate on a regular basis with other operating departments and sales groups to ensure all relevant transactions have been captured and information is accurate. Develop/maintain systems, processes, and internal controls that ensure integrity of data Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business CPA preferred (not required) 5+ years of accounting experience with increased responsibility Strong working knowledge of accounting principals Experience in construction/landscaping preferred Significant experience with QuickBooks Effective oral and written communication skills Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Experience with Google Sheets/Forms/Dashboard helpful Job Type: Full-time Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Physical Setting: Office Schedule: Monday to Friday Supplemental Pay: Bonus pay Work Location: One location
