Principal Associate- Project Management- Innovation Hub

Summary

Do you want to be part of a team that's dedicated to helping Capital One identify, manage, and effectively mitigate risk through innovative solutions? We are looking for an exceptional problem solver to help us build our Innovation Hub on the Analytics & Innovation team! We are a growing group of curious innovators who are looking to add a new team member who can help us design and manage our early-stage product development processes.

General Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with our Innovation Lead to identify, research, prioritize, conceptualize, and prototype new product & innovation ideas
  • Pitch new ideas to senior executives & influence decision making among cross-functional teams
  • Create best practices around early-stage product development and analytics
  • Build a deep understanding of Risk Management programs and process to identify opportunities for innovation
  • Partner with customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to uncover untapped needs and effectively drive delivery
  • Work on large and small scale projects that have a direct impact on the company
  • Ensure scope of deliverables and timelines are met while identifying potential risks/issues and escalating when necessary
  • Bring your unique perspective and experiences to help us foster diverse thinking


We're looking for someone who:
  • Doesn't mind getting their hands dirty -- we're data-driven and analytically focused
  • Is comfortable working in whitespace -- we're building a team and want your new ideas
  • Enjoys working with cross-functional teams -- we work horizontally across Compliance & Ethics with stakeholders and customers in many different job families
  • Is technically curious and biased towards reuse -- we make it our mission to keep our finger on the pulse with new products or capabilities that can be leveraged
  • Forges relationships with key stakeholders and customers to ensure delivery of commitments -- we turn customer insights into actionable strategies


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
  • At least 5 Years Project Management experience


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree
  • At least 7 years of Project Management experience
  • PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong problem solving and influencing skills
