Duties

You will be responsible to work on a wide variety of marine craft.

Being a civilian working for the Coast Guard makes you a valuable team member. Typical duties include:

* Servicing on teams to install and put into operation major electronic and electric control systems that are new to the fleet or that are major modifications of existing systems.

* Troubleshooting and repairing new systems during the operational test and following procedures to cope with and identify unforeseen defects, as well submitting changes to existing schematics to reflect any corrections or changes.

* Most assignments are made on Coast Guard Vessels: advanced Programmable Logic Controllers installing and upgrading (including PLC software), you will install/test/calibrate\align propulsion systems (diesel, diesel electric, DC, turbo, and turbine)

* May be tasked and detailed to support Ordnance shop work: assignments on both fire control and ordnance side, travel to Coast Guard vessel locations to perform work, can be assigned travel for Foreign Military Support Work.

6. Troubleshooting
