Duties

  • Advise the organization's management, technical, and business professionals on the laws and regulations governing system development, acquisition, and sustainment.
  • Collect, organize, and manage system information to support data-driven decision making.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to evaluate system development, acquisition, and sustainment strategies.
  • Develop recommendations that convince stakeholders to accept the organization's proposals.

  • This position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.
  • This position requires Level III certification in Acquisition Career Field ?Life Cycle Logistics? or the incumbent must be able to obtain certification within 24 months of appointment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Lead logistics/sustainment projects or programs where analysis, communication, and coordination of tasks and people are involved; 2) Research and analyze logistics/sustainment products for completeness, accuracy, and message conveyance; and 3) Identify logistics/sustainment problems during a system's acquisition life cycle and provide solutions in order to maintain system readiness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11).
