Securityhunter is a leading provider of physical and electronic security systems to Government clients. We are based in Baltimore, Maryland and we are looking to expand our technical team in the Maryland area. Electronic Security Technician Responsibilities . Read and understand security system drawings . Install and program electronic security systems including but not limited to access control systems, intrusion detection systems and CCTV systems . Maintain project equipment inventory . Maintain project 'red-line' drawings . Assist project management staff with creating proposals as needed . Assist engineering staff with creating designs as needed . Travel to customer locations to install or inspect security systems . Perform quality control visits at security system installation locations as needed . Train customer personnel on the use of security systems as needed . Install low voltage cabling when needed . Terminate, program and test security systems . Troubleshoot security system malfunctions . Answer trouble calls from customers Required Skills . Knowledge of electronic security systems required . Basic knowledge of IP networking required . Must be able to pass a Federal Government background check (Criminal and Civil) . Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) . Proficient with Microsoft Windows . Proficient written and verbal communication skills . Must be willing to travel to local and remote project locations . Must have a valid driver's license . Knowledge of low voltage electrical principles (DC Power, Relays, etc.) Work and Education Requirements . Minimum 3 years' experience with electronic security systems preferred . System manufacturer training certifications preferred . CSEIP certification preferred .
