Congressional School seeks a Communications and Multimedia Associate to start in mid-January. The Communications and Multimedia Associate is an integral member of the Advancement Team and will work collaboratively with the Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications, Director of Enrollment Management and Financial Aid, and Director of Advancement and External Affairs to promote Congressional School to all of our constituents, both internal and external. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications, the Communications and Multimedia Associate will be responsible for social media, photography, videography, website content and graphic design. All Congressional School employees are required to present proof of COVID-19 vaccination. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Support the Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications in implementing a marketing / communications plan to further the school's mission and strategic goals while expanding our visibility within the community. Implement the marketing plan through the use of print and digital media including web, video, photography, and social media. Assist with the creation and design of the school's viewbooks, magazine, annual report, and other marketing materials. Ensure the school's website is continually updated to optimize and drive user engagement and growth. Expand the school's social media presence and engagement. Film and produce videos that capture the essence of Congressional School. Photograph school events, including some nights and weekends. Produce newsletters and e-mail correspondence for school, admission, development, and camp. Monitor local websites and blogs to ensure that Congressional's brand is consistent online. Analyze the effectiveness of our digital marketing efforts and propose enhancements for the following semester/year. Monitor current trends, best practices to ensure Congressional is a leader in digital media content. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or similar discipline preferred 1-3 years of relevant experience in graphic design, photography, videography, social media and websites Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Familiarity with independent school Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse and inclusive environment and a commitment to cultural competency Willingness to join a collaborative team that serves a wide variety of roles High level of initiative, proven ability to work independently, good time-management skills, and ability to work within tight deadlines An ability to work in a joyful, collegial and collaborative environment A sense of humor, warm personality, and growth mindset
