Helpdesk Technician - Tier 1 We are seeking a Helpdesk Technician - Tier 1 to join a growing Managed Service Provider. The Helpdesk Technician - Tier 1 has the opportunity to step into a hybrid Junior Support Engineer role shadowing senior technicians on more complex issues to grow their knowledge and become more autonomous. The Helpdesk Technician - Tier 1 will be part of a team coordinating technology refreshes and deployments to end-users. The Helpdesk Technician - Tier 1 position requires someone with 1-2 years of IT support / MSP experience who enjoys working with customers and learning from senior-level engineers. The Helpdesk Technician - Tier 1 will have experience in troubleshooting, installing, configuring, and testing different technologies. This opportunity allows the selected candidate to grow internally with the company. Helpdesk Technician - Tier 1 Experience: Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools Troubleshooting of modern networks including but not limited to TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless 1+ year experience working for a Managed Service Provider Support Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10 Troubleshooting of multi-site Active Directory 2008R2/2012/2016 environments Troubleshooting of Office365 & Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013/2016 environments Troubleshooting of on-premises networks with multiple WAN and VLAN configurations Troubleshooting of virtualization environments Knowledge of Remote Desktop Technologies Experience with networks (SonicWall, Cisco, Meraki, Ruckus, etc.) Help test/evaluate network systems to eliminate issues and identify opportunities for improvement Effectively communicate issues and alternative solutions Understand basic networking concepts Experience with IT support ticketing systems and RMM (ConnectWise, AutoTask Datto, Kaseya, etc.) Helpdesk Technician - Tier 1 Benefits: Salary: $45,000- $60,000 401k+ company match Health Coverage PTO Local WFH (split days in office 2/3 can be flexible) Actual salary of Helpdesk Technician - Tier 1 to commensurate with experience Opportunity Location Reston, VA Proposed Salary $45,000 - $60,000 Bowman Williams is a national specialized staffing firm for Cloud Service Providers and Managed Service Providers.
