Our Core Values are the standards by which we conduct ourselves day in and day out, both internally and externally.A Manager - Grant Audit/Review is responsible for leading engagement teams in various Grants Management projects including grant audits, assessment of grants management business processes, and other grant reviews. In the role, the Manager - Grant Audit/Review will implement knowledge of federal grant requirements to help agencies in effectively monitoring grants programs, grant management processes, and grantees.- Lead the execution of audits and internal control assessment and testing activities.- Lead project planning activities including developing planning documents, conducting kick off meetings, and arranging and scheduling testing activities and site visits. - Lead the team in executing the audit work plan, documenting workpapers, findings, and other work products.- Review the work products of others to ensure that they are technically accurate and provide overall value to the client. - Communicate testing findings and results to senior level stakeholders.- Provide suggestions to improve internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial statements based on analysis.- Research new accounting pronouncements and identify opportunities to improve client internal controls, accounting procedures, financial statement and overall operational efficiency.- Maintain relationships and communicate with key client personnel to understand business operations, processes, and functions.- Prepare presentations and briefings, and actively participate in client meetings and day-to-day interactions.- Actively participate in career development activities and technical training of staff.- Attend appropriate training, business seminars and/or conferences to stay up to date with technical skills that align with the firm's direction and changes in the industry. Qualifications Education:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, required- Advanced degree in Accounting, MBA, MPA or MMP, preferredExperience:- Six (6) or more years of prior experience in audit, accounting, or financial and management advisory services experience, required- One (1) or more years of prior supervisory experience, preferred- Proficient knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, federal regulations, guidelines, standards or concepts, and other relevant industry practices, preferred- Experience auditing/testing federal grantees or grant related business cycles, and knowledge of federal grant guidance, strongly preferredLicense/Certifications:- Licensed CPA (or CPA Candidate), preferred - PMP, CGFM, CDFM, preferredSoftware:- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint requiredOther Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a public trust or above security clearance- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt style and messaging to effectively communicate with professionals at all levels both within the client organization and the firm- Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently and within a group environment- Capable of working in a demanding, deadline driven environment with a focus on details and accuracy- Professional services experience and/or experience supporting public sector clients- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
