You will make a difference in the lives of children and help them celebrate their accomplishments.A' The cook is responsible for creating home-style, nutritional meal plans within the boundaries of their school's budget, as well as state and federal requirements. The cook will prepare and serve nutritious and delicious meals and snacks for children and staff. You will follow proper food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures ensuring that food is stored and handled properly. The cook will also maintain inventory of food, supplies, and equipment and order more as needed.Requirements: A' Must have a High School diploma or equivalentHas obtained a Food Service Sanitation certificate or able to obtain within 90 daysHas work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for large groups in shifts, preferably in a childcare facilityHas some flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work, weekday - morning through mid-day scheduleExhibits reliable attendance and accountabilityHas minimum of 6 months licensed group childcare experience (preferred)Successful background check and VA licensing standards requiredA' A' Come grow with us!Our schools are growing, and we are so excited to have the chance to welcome new educators and team members into our family!
