For more information, please visit: .ResponsibilitiesThe Financial Management Consultant helps clients optimize all elements of their finance organization, including operating model design, sustainable cost reduction, financial planning and analysis, management reporting, financial systems architecture, and full-scale finance transformation.Responsibilities:Provide ongoing financial management support to Federal client in accordance with Federal financial management requirementsSupport quantitative development of business case documentation (eg, needs analysis, cost/benefit analysis)Prepare, review, and reconcile various financial business documents (eg, invoices, travel vouchers)Identify and suggest process improvement opportunitiesDevelop work products that clearly synthesize information into recommendations for clientsFacilitate client meetings to gather data and understand client needs and desired outcomesPrepare training materials and facilitate knowledge transfer to client stakeholdersProvide guidance, coaching, and quality assurance to junior staffQualifications1+ years of financial management experience, preferably within the public sectorBachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with a major in any field that included or was supplemented by; at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and managementProficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience in Federal consultingExperience in internal control assessmentsExperience working with Federal agenciesKnowledge of Federal financial management regulations, including the Treasury Financial Manual, Federal Financial Management Improvement Act (FFMIA), and OMB Circular A-123Knowledge of Federal budget processNo sponsorship available for this positionAdditional RequirementsThe successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.This position can be based in either Washington, DC or McLean, VA.DisclaimerAbout GuidehouseGuidehouse is an Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
