Job Description

Zeus (www.zeustechnology.com) is a fast-growing component of the Washington Post that is helping publishers optimize their digital advertising and level the playing field as they compete for ad dollars with digital native social and search giants, using the same technology and strategy as The Washington Post.

We're building a brand-new suite of technology products, created by and for The Washington Post and then extended to publishers and media companies across the US, putting publishers in control of a brand new digital advertising ecosystem.

Zeus is a new business that is growing quickly, so we are seeking a highly motivated, self-starting individual to tell the story of our products to both publishers and advertisers as we continue to expand our business.

Responsibilities
  • Own product messaging and positioning ensuring that our products are presented in a clear way that highlights their unique benefits and that our audiences know why our solution is better.
  • Contribute to the development of our core brand messaging and go-to-market strategy.
  • Deeply understand market needs by segment to build unique and differentiated messaging and positioning, including buyer personas and key use cases.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the products, their roadmap and the publisher ad tech/digital media markets in order to craft the statements that will establish and reinforce our positioning and articulate our value to customers across marketing, technology and business functions.
  • Establish and manage foundational marketing channels and tactics.
  • Contribute to shaping the marketing organization and approach in long-range business planning.
  • Play a key role in the development of go-to-market strategies for new products, working closely with the product owners and other cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Account Management leads to ensure our story is told consistently in-market and in one-on-one settings.
  • Collaborate on the development of high-impact marketing strategies and drive the creation of product-focused content to support those strategies including but not limited to sales collateral, blog articles, white papers, demo videos and webinars.
  • Expand and maintain competitive and market intelligence to understand our product's position and opportunity in the marketplace.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in B2B product marketing including 3+ years product marketing ownership preferably in technology, enterprise software or SaaS platforms.
  • Experience in digital media/advertising technology preferred
  • Experience delivering results for cross-functional initiatives while managing multiple competing priorities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with copywriting a plus
