Duties

  • Seeks methods to improve production or increase the quality of the work directed and develops performance standards.
  • Understands how enforcement policies operate and effect resident outcomes, and how survey, staffing, and quality measure data are posted and used to calculate star ratings.
  • Makes presentations on behalf of the Division to national provider and advocacy organizations.
  • Assures timely and accurate completion of Division projects.
  • Plans and coordinates program operations for recruitment, budgetary, and other resources to accomplish organizational objectives.

In order to qualify for the GS-14 grade level, you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal Government to include: (1) Providing technical advice on quality and safety standards for long term care facilities (i.e., Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs), Nursing Facilities (NFs), or nursing homes); (2) Developing health care quality policies, procedures, guidelines, or regulations related to long term care facilities; AND (3) Providing guidance to staff and team leaders on survey and certification operational activities (i.e., receipt, management, response, reporting requirements, and the development of regulations and policy).

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
