Project Coordinator - Drywall Position SummaryThe Project Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of construction and administrative duties in support of the Project Manager. The Project Coordinator supports the management with the flow of information between the field, office, senior management, and the customer to assure that components and systems are incorporated in accordance with the schedule.Function/Responsibilities Project ExecutionWork with PM and Superintendent on development of project start-up procedures and issue managementImplement detailed procedures for the coordination and distribution of submittals, shop drawings, samples, etc. including assistance with review and approval as assignedAssist with maintaining project files on subcontractors and suppliers, bid package records, plans, specifications, changes, clarifications, and as-built documentsAssist in the requisition procedure (review, submittal, payment)Assist in expediting subcontractor proposalsEvaluate in conjunction with PM subcontractor requisitions relative to the actual work completedCost ControlReview in conjunction with PM, all subcontractors' schedules of valueAssist with reviewing the appropriateness of subcontractor change orders for processing by PMAssist with the evaluation of subcontractor and status of Owner change orders and baseline cost estimatesAssist with tracking general requisitions through paymentCommunications/Issue ManagementEstablish and maintain relationships with GC/CM, subcontractors, and suppliersAssist in the review of contractor's shop drawings in accordance with design specifications/drawings and ensure that they properly relate to the construction work within the review time constraintsMaintain document controlAssist in managing and maintaining project specific information systemsAssist in coordination of site activities with office activitiesAssist PM in communication of cost control status and issues to management in a timely mannerReview the status of issues. Monitor the issues log and update weeklyPrepare meeting minutesAssist in project close outProcess requests for information and supplemental instructionsEducation/Experience High school diploma/GED Previous work experience in construction is preferred, however, training for the right candidate will be provided.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Analytical problem solvingStrong work ethic with ability to multi-task and focusDetail drivenExcellent organization skillsPreferred Education/Experience: Degree/certificate in construction management.
