JOB SUMMARY:Provides support to the Human Resources department. Provides project based support to various areas of human resources including record retention, compliance, and HRIS administration. Deals with a diverse group of external callers and visitors as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload, recommends changes in office practices or procedures.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:ProfessionalismGreets employees and visitors as they enter the Human Resources departmentPlanning and OrganizingMay be asked to schedule department meetingsOn boards new employees - sends offer letters, coordinates drug screens and background checks, coordinates orientation activities, creates HR filesOrders supplies for departmentOrganizes and runs first day and monthly orientation for new hiresCoordinates onsite employee events when neededPlans and prioritizes activities to ensure compliance with departmental standardsChecking, Examining, RecordingMaintain departmental files - employee file and benefits filesEnsures employee licenses are kept up to date in employee files and HRIS trackingWorkplace Computers and EquipmentEnters all employee data into HRIS including new hires, separations, and job changesTeamworkMay be asked to support other HR related projectsCommunicationAppropriately answers or directs questions from internal and external customersOther duties as assignedSKILLS AND ABILITIES:Must have strong technical skillsMust have strong organization and prioritization skillsBe thorough and able to collaborate with HR staff and employees in a professional manner.Excellent communication skills are required.General knowledge of human resources regulatory requirementsMust have solid knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteDemonstrates ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, our internal customers and the general publicEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:Preferred: Bachelors DegreePreferred: Previous Human Resources experienceRequired: Two years of administrative experienceStrong computer skills requiredHRIS experience preferred
