Opportunity DetailsDesign/Process Engineer Hybrid- 6 month contract to directPosition Summary for Design/Process Engineer Hybrid :Reporting to the VP of Technology, the Process/Product Engineer is responsible for the support of current processes and the development and implementation of new products and processes.Areas of Responsibility for Design/Process Engineer Hybrid: Support plant expansion by running and reporting on validation runsDevelop and commercialize new process methodology and equipmentIncrease throughput and decrease waste for targeted processesProvide and maintain process work instructionsSupport design, specification, production and qualification of absorbent canisters as neededDrive canister development and absorbent integration from conception through commercializationSet design schedule, identify critical path, communicate and resolve delaysDesign and execute experiments in support of process development and improvementInspect incoming parts to ensure material meets specifications. Establish measurement techniques. Advise on how to proceed with off specification material.Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other outside parties to support process/product needsApply a sound basic knowledge of safety, environmental and energy-related issues during the execution of projects, and perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.Qualifications for Design/Process Engineer Hybrid:Completes tasks in a timely and thorough mannerMulti-tasks and prioritizes effectivelyTakes initiative and ownership for resultsDocuments resultsOrganized and neatLearns quicklyStrong technical curiosityRuns effective meetings; prepare, defines objectives, documents path forwardWorks well with and respects people at all levels in the organizationFlexible to changeSpecifications: . RequiredCitizen of the United StatesBachelor of Science degree or higher in Mechanical, Chemical or Manufacturing EngineeringMinimum 5 years' experience supporting industrial processesExperience installing or modifying and qualifying production or QC testing equipmentFamiliarity with and use of statisticsMS Project or equivalent software experience used in planning and execution of projectsExperience with injection molding equipment - installation, manufacturing and process engineering. DesiredExperience with polymer processing, including extrusion or injection moldingExperience with chemical plant processes, including distillationDesigned experiment experience, using software such as Stat-EaseExperience with Lean and Six-Sigma techniquesExperience operating under ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
