Amentum wants a senior-level Engineer with Experience, Passion, and Purpose to provide a wide variety of engineering support tasks for the Non-Propulsion Electronics Systems (NPES) area of the VIRGINIA Class Submarine Program Office (PMS450E). * You'll work side by side with your government counterparts to provide technical and management reviews.* You'll assess drawings, engineering reports, procurement specifications, purchase orders, material ordering data, parts lists, qualification data, test plans and procedures, and other design and long lead planning documentation.* As a member of various Systems Integration Teams (SIT), you'll provide valuable technical support, design improvements and recommendations based upon the review and assessment of products associated with that SIT, reviewing and responding to design, maintenance, and proposal submissions provided by the Virginia Class Submarine lead design/ construction shipyard.* You'll have further impact as a member of other process improvement teams.* Your input will matter as you draft, review and distribute technical opinions which clearly convey the consensus reached within NAVSEA and other stakeholders to respond to the shipbuilder's requests for items related to submarine design and construction.* You'll become one of the experts as you liaise with other VIRGINIA team members and Technical Warrant Holders (TWHs) to assist with technical inquiries.* Arrange and support meetings that plan and execute follow-up action items. Minimum Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related scientific field and at least 11 years of job-related experience or equivalent.* Excellent communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.* Demonstrated ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software.* Position may require travel.* Position requires a Secret Clearance.* US Citizenship required Preferred Qualifications * Knowledge and experience with electrical hull penetrators.* Submarine Engineering Experience* Submarine Combat Systems Experience* Navy Program Office Experience* Electrical Engineering* Navy Experience
