We have a long, successful track record of serving generations of individuals, families and businesses across the area and are deeply invested in the welfare and prosperity of the people who live here.Summary/Objective:The Credit Team is responsible for analyzing and monitoring the credit worthiness of the bank's customers. Reviews financial statements, evaluates real estate collateral, and analyzes tax returns to determine the financial condition of individuals and businesses applying for credit with the bank. Prepares written analyses, spreadsheets, memorandum of findings and opinions for Bank officers on new or renewing loans.Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Use critical thinking and financial calculations to conduct thorough analysis of applications for commercial credit.Construct financial statement spreads. Analyze borrower's balance sheet, income, and cash flow statement and understand and interpret key ratios.Complete thorough real estate reviews on all types of commercial property - hotels, retail centers, office buildings, industrial warehouses, etc.Collect credit information for preparation of commercial loan package.Visit prospective commercial borrowers and/or collateral properties.Review real estate appraisals and environmental reports for relevance and accuracy of findings.Provide an analyzed, researched, and documented loan package for review by supervisor, officers, committee, or Board as appropriate.Maintain complete and orderly credit files on loan customers and hold private credit information on borrowers in the strictest confidence.Assist with loan scenario questions and be responsible for calculating risk scorecard and recommending risk ratings.Maintain department service level and turn-time standards.Gain knowledge of and uphold compliance with policies and procedures of the Bank.Assist loan officers and team members as requested.Additional responsibilities as assigned. Skills/Abilities:Work both independently and as part of a teamBe an efficient multi-taskerHave an analytical mindsetArticulate complex information in an easy to understand mannerProvide outstanding customer service Education and Experience:Bachelor or Master's Degree in finance, accounting, real estate or other related field.Proficiency in Microsoft Office - especially both Word and Excel.Hands on experience with real estate, accounting, or finance is a plus.Supervisory ResponsibilityWork EnvironmentThis job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Office environment with job duties conducted via telephone, face to face meetings, and on the computer.Physical DemandsThis position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and opening cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary.TravelTravel may be required for this position.
