A client of ours, an award winning architectural firm, is looking to bring on a new Senior Billing Specialist to their team. This person will be responsible for leading and planning the billing operations and related reporting. The opportunity is a contract-to-hire engagement. Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an Accredited University and 5+ years of related experience. This opportunity is in the office 5 days a week. The company uses Deltek Vision and it is imparitive that the candidate have experience using this software.Responsibilities:Plans and manages the billing processResponsible for SFT billings and overseeing multi-family billingsResponsible for Reviewing and Assisting in new Project Set-ups and Billing Terms in Deltek VisionEnter and Process all approved Monthly Write-offsReviews and processes consultant invoicesWorks with Principals, Associate Principals, Project Managers, clients and accounting staff on billings / collections, related project financial information and processing and recordation issuesMonth-end closing of the billing information and reportingSpecial program/billing planning and implementationReviewing, processing and updating unbilled schedulesBilling and project accounting / project financial reports as neededIntercompany billing entriesAssist with other cash receipt and other journal entries as requiredRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance5 years' experience in the Accounting field required; 2 years' experience must be in professional services.Ability to manage time, deadline oriented, and takes initiative (self-starter).Strong organizational skills and disciplined accuracy are required.Proven ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment.Proficiency in automated account systems, MS Office and advanced Excel skills required. Deltek Vision experience highly desirable.
