About the Role: We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team at our Cherry Hill Facility in Elkton, Maryland with the scope of responsibility extending to the support of facilities located in both the Eastern and Western regions of the US. In this role you will work with the facility team, architects, other engineers, and contractors to develop a centralized, innovative building automation solution tailored to meet the needs of our facilities. This role will also be responsible for providing the design and implementation of the building automation solution. Responsibilities: Design, Specify and Configure the Building Automation System (BAS) including, security, graphics, database, network architecture and equipment integration Manage projects from development and stakeholder engagement through implementation and commissioning to ensure proper operation and adherence to company standards Responsible for software and firmware preventative maintenance. This includes implementing software patches, firmware upgrades and updating antivirus solutions Support factory acceptance, installation qualification, and operational qualification testing of equipment Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve issues and communication problems with Building Automation Systems and associated controllers and equipment Develop and maintain system and graphic standards, and ensure consistent implementation Responsible to ensure sequences of operation, as defined by project documents and engineers, is documented and implemented per company standards Develop and implement change management process for Building Automation Systems Coordinate with vendors and installation contractors for successful implementation of BAS system(s) including scopes of work (SOW), review bill of materials and equipment schedules to ensure they meet the needs of the project, specifications and team needs Work directly with Gore IT to design, build and troubleshoot networks, to support servers and to be a technical resource for BAS needs Required Qualifications: BS degree in Electrical Engineering Minimum of 5 years industry experience designing and supporting industrial equipment Experience with controls platforms and systems including PLCs, Motion Control, Discrete Controllers, Graphical User Interfaces (HMI) and Variable Speed Drives (VFD) Proven history of documenting and communicating work effectively through the creation of technical documentation Strong customer service mindset with the ability to translate ambiguous customer needs Demonstrated ability to partner with operations and business engagement for integrated testing as well as with operations team on releases into all environments (dev, prod) Demonstrated ability to prioritize, plan, and drive multiple projects concurrently from development to completion against agreed upon timelines and deliverables Ability to work both independently and collaborate effectively as part of a team, including influencing across functions Ability to identify critical issues and failure modes, creating a framework of action to address these issues and assess root cause including effective risk-based decision making Ability to travel up to 10% Desired Qualifications: Experience designing BAS supervisory systems (Tridium/Niagara) Computer Server and Network Architecture knowledge Hands-on experience working with facility-oriented equipment (Chillers, AHUs, Compressors, Etc.)Salary Range: $80K -- $100K *Minimum QualificationElectrical Engineering
