We are looking for a dynamic Task Lead: Strategic Communications to join our team. The Task Lead of Strategic Communications will primarily support the Director of VA Strategic Services. The Strategic Communications position will share the results of the analysis with management to make strategic changes and improvements in the company. The Task Lead of Strategic Communications will check trends and patterns to determine the direction the business needs to take to run efficiently. This position may be filled at the CATHEXIS office near Washington, DC, or remotely from any location in the United States. Responsibilities: Serve as Task Lead overseeing contract tasks and strategic communications activities Conduct research and interview key stakeholders to understand institutional needs and identify important target audiences Collaborate with OTED and CATHEXIS leadership to develop vision, strategy and key performance metrics for communications campaign Articulate and lead overall content and communications strategy across OTED business lines and internal CATHEXIS teams Guide the development of key campaign materials to include: website content, press releases, fact sheets, FAQs, executive talking points, executive presentations, social media posts, and video development Lead the overhaul of OTED department websites aiming to modernize look and feel, achieve a strong brand identity and present audiences with an exemplary user experience. Expand constituent engagement efforts by identifying and collaborating with VA allies, such as Veteran Service Organizations, the National Association of State Directors of Veterans Affairs, and the National Association of County Veteran Service Officers to develop a multi-pronged communications effort to amplify VA media relations and social media outreach Manage subcontractors and evaluate vendors as needed, Supervise printing and distribution of materials. Consult on communications strategy for multiple inter-governmental working groups Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree Five (5) years of experience in marketing, communications, and strategic brand management Content specialist with the ability to plan, develop, craft, repurpose and track relevant, shareable content suitable for use across digital and traditional channels and emerging technologies TAP experience a plus Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Visio, and SharePoint Able to obtain a minimum of NACI (National Agency Check with Inquiries) for a Veterans Affairs Public Trust Clearance Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills Excellent organizational, problem solving, negotiation and project management skills with strong attention to detail and quality Experience organizing and managing complex activities, and the ability to prioritize and manage the demands of concurrent projects Engage effectively with a variety of constituents and influence others to move toward a common vision/goal Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills with particular strengths in team-building, relationship building, and networking skills Ability to work independently, often on short deadlines, in a fast-paced environment Assumes ownership and responsibility for assigned actions and/or tasks Strong interest in gathering and analyzing data Possess the ability to synthesize information Desired Skills: Government contracting experience DoD and VA experience as a contractor or otherwise Former military experience CATHEXIS is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
