This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has studied accounting or finance who is customer centric, and wants the opportunity to learn and grow in a corporate environment. What You'll Do * Support payments-related operational processes and procedures, such as journal entries, posting financial transactions, and chargebacks. * Adhere to established SOPs and help create new records to capture best practice and compliance as the Payments function grows. * Generate local entries (primarily in Oracle) and obtain necessary data via industry websites such as LexisNexis. * Monitor and assess daily payments performance (reporting), analyze reasons for deviation from baseline, and collaborate with the appropriate internal stakeholders to take corrective action. * Engage directly with Varis customers and provide superior customer service regarding their payments needs and questions. * Escalate and navigate a clear path for customer concerns and product enhancement requests. * Analyze payments trends and, in partnership with leadership, participate in forecasting efforts to inform business decisions. * Assist in authoring contract documents, including service level agreements, and statements of work. * Research emerging developments within the payments field and remain current on key compliance standards, such as Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Know Your Customer (KYC). * Support Finance by producing reports, income statements and balance sheets, reviewing statements for accuracy, receiving payments, reconciling accounts, and related tasks. * Demonstrate the initiative and ability to analyze complex issues to determine the proper course of action. * Maintain records and perform audits as needed or as directed. * Build strong internal, external, and cross-functional relationships. What You'll Need * Minimum: Associate's Degree, or equivalent experience in a related field. * Bachelor's Degree completed or in-progress, preferred, * 1+ year experience in Finance, Accounting, or Customer Service. * Polished communication skills and sound judgement. * Demonstrated ability to self-motivate and apply self-directed ongoing learning to a role. * Ability to maintain an incredibly high degree of attention to detail and accuracy. * Ability to maintain confidence, confidentially, and composure during difficult and/or complex situations. * Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced deadline environment while successfully managing multiple tasks. * Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively work, influence, problem solve, and engage with all levels of the organization.
