Communications Director Air Traffic Control Association (ATCA) What you'd do, in a nutshell: Manage all aspects of ATCA's comms and marketing initiatives to expand the association and attract, nurture, and retain members and stakeholders. Who we're looking for: We are taking our membership association to the next level and we're looking for a Communications Director to help us do it! We've got great members, ambitious ideas, and a packed schedule, so an organized, energetic, creative, and technologically-savvy team player with strong planning skills, content-creation prowess, and an eye for design would fit in perfectly around here. With help from the the PR and Marketing Manager and Publications Manager, you will lead the creation of editorial, strategic marcom, and social media plans to expand ATCA's influence, including increasing the visibility of our branding and promoting our thought-leadership and events. You'll also direct ATCA's websites with help from the team and manage the day-to-day for our ever-growing Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn personas. What you'll do each day: Write strategic comms and marketing plans, working closely with the membership and events departments to ensure synergy (and then keeping everyone on schedule!). Develop exciting, attractive promotional campaigns for the association and its events. Write content for the executive team, including important announcements, press releases, internal memos, etc. Collaborate across departments to manage ATCA's websites and ensure they're kept up to date. Oversee an upcoming website transition. Create and post daily content for ATCA's social media and track performance analytics. Work with the membership department to transition/streamline ATCA's database and marketing platforms. Create or commission videos, PowerPoints, and other graphics for events and initiatives. Manage post-event surveys in coordination with the events department. Manage an association refresh/rebrand at some point. Opportunities to lead member committees or workgroups. What you'll need to be considered: At least five years of relevant experience. A bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in communications, design, journalism, or related field. A successful social media track record. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and overall digital savvy. Strong writing and communication skills (we'll be requesting a couple writing samples). HTML knowledge. Interest in aviation and air traffic management is a must, and experience in the field is a definite plus. Emotional intelligence. Leadership, self-reliance, a good attitude, honesty, and people skills. The communications and programming department is highly-collaborative, so team players who know how to work together are encouraged to apply! Where you'll go: Have you ever been to Spain?
