Research Integrity Project ManagerThe George Mason University, Office of Research Integrity and Assurance seeks a highly motivated, well-qualified person to serve as the Research Integrity Project Manager. About the Position:The Office of Research Integrity and Assurance (ORIA) nurtures and promotes state-of-the-art research and scholarship at Mason, providing resources that promote the ethical and responsible conduct of research and support the university's commitment to meet the highest ethical standards in research and scholarship.Reporting to the Associate Director, Research Integrity, the Research Integrity Project Manager will work with ORIA staff to perform a wide range of support for ORIA's compliance functions, including but not limited to activities involving conflict of interest and commitment, responsible conduct of research and research integrity. Responsibilities: Assisting in structuring and managing university-wide initiatives, such as new policy development, socialization and implementation;Managing docket, project scheduling, and organizational matters for research misconduct investigations, as well as conducting substantive special research projects;Supporting the business activities of Mason's Conflict of Interest Committee;Assisting in integrating existing procedures with new, university-wide research management software, including helping revise current policies and procedures; andAdditional, similar project management and special research project activities in the COI, conflict of commitment and research integrity sphere, as assigned by supervisor.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience;Project management knowledge, expertise and experience bringing projects to successful completion;Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;Strong oral and written communication skills;Ability to work independently and in an inclusive team environment;Ability to professionally and effectively work with faculty, staff, students, and community partners, including management of related sensitive information, while respecting privacy and confidentiality;Strong attention to detail and organizational and time-management skills; andProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and platforms for data sharing and management. Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in administration, business, or scientific field and/or equivalent combination of education and 3-5 years of experience working in a project management environment;Experience working with or in a university environment;Project Management Professional (PMP) ® certification;Paralegal certification; andStrong customer service experience.Candidates must be one of the following: A citizen of the United States;A person who is a lawful permanent resident of the United States (a "Green Card" holder);A person who is a "protected individual" as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a) (3); orA person who is otherwise able to become generally eligible to receive unclassified technical data pursuant to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
