Job Description

Seeking an experienced Press Operator with management skills to supervise a Press Team and ensure that work is performed according to specifications, ensuring quality, and maintaining timely schedules. Team Leader must maintain a safe work environment for all team members.

Tasks Performed:
  • Supervise team members in the performance of their duties
  • Assign work to team members
  • Use computer to track work orders and assignments, and to assist in identification of potential problems
  • Monitor the presses; check settings and fine tune as necessary
  • Identify problems and coordinate repairs
  • Page out newspaper
  • Ensure that all team members are appropriately trained
  • Perform tasks necessary to complete assignments
  • Ability to work all shifts

  • Hand tools


Products/Materials Handled:
  • Newsprint

  • Parts of the press
  • Ink
