Dewberry is currently seeking a Safety Intern in our Fairfax, VA office to assist the Director of Safety with a variety of projects to drive continuous improvement through all facets of Dewberry's Health and Safety Program.   1. Assist in development and production of safety training videos
  2. Conduct office safety evaluations in the Mid-Atlantic Region
  3. Develop safety toolbox talks, Activity Hazard Analyses, and other project-related documentation
  4. Office/field visits in the Mid-Atlantic region
  5. Manage safety initiatives including telematics and employee personal protective equipment programs

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in a safety-related field
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work in a team environment
  • Self-driven and proactive in accomplishing tasks
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
  • Advanced written communication skills, being able to transform highly technical information into meaningful content for internal audiences
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Displays a willingness to learn and develop in a team environment
  • Ability to travel
