Position: Behavioral Health Technician Location: Crownsville, Maryland Work Environment: In-patient Treatment Center (Adolescent Residential Facility) Schedule: Full Time | Thursday to Saturday | 9:00am to 9:30pm Compensation: $17.00 per hour + Full Time Benefits Job/Position Overview: Works closely with medical and clinical staff in providing care to clients in an in-patient setting. Supports the clinical team with all aspects of programming for clients. This individual also supports medication administration, urinalysis, breathalyzer tests, and completed supporting documentation. Training & Experience: Previous experience with treatment of substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders is required Valid driver's license with no restrictions is required QMAP and CPR certified or willingness to become certified Ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of experience Education: High School Diploma or GED required Bachelors Degree in a Behavioral Health Science preferred (counseling, clinical social work, clinical psychology, marriage and family therapy, or a related field) RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION Contribute to a high-performing culture, focused on partnering with clients as we inspire and empower change Adhere to all aspects of the program's policies and procedures to ensure quality performance and assist the Performance Improvement Committee in any quality improvements that may be necessary Responsible for the milieu management of clients Identify emerging situation and respond appropriately, deescalating clients when needed. Preform accurate, timely and ethical documentation at all times, including admissions, discharges, inventories of client personal belongings, documentation of all significant interaction with individual clients Support recruitment of competent and trained staff Valid driver's license and able to assist with transporting clients Other duties as assigned Sandstone Care is a teen and young adult behavioral treatment program that supports individuals struggling with co-occurring and mental health disorders. We deliver care through an innovative treatment approach which addresses not only substance use, mood disorders, and mental health concerns, but also supports the entire ecosystem including treating the broader family system, providing academic & vocational support, and helping clients build new, healthy communities to support their longer term recovery.
