Position The Corporate Controller will be responsible for oversight of all finance, accounting, budgeting, and reporting activities for Earth Networks and the consolidation and forecasting for the AEM group. The Corporate Controller will also be responsible for the accounting policies and procedures across the AEM organization. Responsibilities Oversee all activities of the Corporate Accounting department including the month-end accounting close process, financial reporting, and cash management. Consolidation and board reporting. Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP and other laws/regulations. Assist with the migration from legacy systems to NetSuite ERP. Lead the annual budget processes and forecast updates. Helps ensure attainment of budget goals by analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions. Coordinate all tax compliance and the external audit activity. Serve as the key technical accounting resource for the AEM group of companies and harmonize accounting policies across the group entities. Leverage strengths of the current finance team members and develop and implement training programs to improve individual and team skills. Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and safeguards, as may be required. Assist the AEM CFO with special projects and analysis as needed. Provide leadership in strengthening internal communication with staff at all levels throughout the organization. Bank reporting and monitoring for covenant compliance. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Certified Public Accountant 8+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience, preferably in a combination of public accounting and corporate accounting (preferably with private equity-backed companies). Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), the ability to research technical accounting literature and apply such guidance to new and existing transactions. Five or more years of supervisory experience preferred. Highly proficient in Excel. Experience with NetSuite and Dynamics GP a plus. Self-starter, with ability to work independently and remotely. Ability to manage globally dispersed teams. Experience with international accounting standards (preferably experience with German accounting standards or manufacturing organizations). Experience with both software development and also manufacturing environments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
