A core aspect of the role will be to kick-start idea generation through agile prototyping and design-thinking integration. Communication, agility, and problem-solving will be key to success in this role! The Analyst, Finance Strategy, brings a strategic consulting mindset, with the ability to skillfully partner, collaborate and support analysis of business endeavors, research projects and strategic initiatives. The role will function as an internal consultant, partnering with Finance leadership and other business leaders, to develop business cases, outline recommendations and monitor progress. The Analyst should be eager to analyze data, contribute to, and work directly on projects to drive organizational improvement in support of PenFed's member-focused mission.The Finance Strategy team works across the finance department and with key business leaders to develop, align, and drive the CFO agenda. This is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of job duties and the position will perform other duties as assigned.Support the efforts of the Finance Strategy team by serving as an advisor to finance leadership and teams, by building relationships and connectivity, with the ability to provide support and analysis to guide the organization to align on the strategic direction and execution plan.Under direction of Manager, Finance Strategy, conduct industry research and strategic analysis, identify value drivers, synthesize findings, prepare presentations and make recommendations.Partner with Manager, Finance Strategy, to create scheduled and ad hoc presentations and reports based on work requested from leadership.Support the Finance Strategy team's storytelling efforts by developing data-driven insights, leveraging data visualization tools and techniques, and developing clear and concise presentations that are easily understood by leadership and stakeholders.Prepare and support Board and select Management Committee reporting and presentations.Participate in regular strategy planning sessions with goal, enterprise and sub-initiative owners to maintain alignment of strategic objectives, targets and initiatives.Identify opportunities to leverage synergies across initiatives and provide ideas to drive impact from these collaborations.Support organizational change and learning by embracing new, flexible, and agile approaches to improve business performance and efficiency.Contribute to a culture of collaboration by actively working across business lines, communicating knowledge and strategy initiatives to business units.Support finance department-wide meetings, communications and initiatives, including Finance All Hand's, Monthly Business Reviews, and M-Team meetings.Construct financial model prototypes to support idea generation and financial analyses.*This role is responsible for ensuring business continuity.*QualificationsEquivalent combination of education and experience is considered.Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance required.Minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in consulting, financial services, banking or credit unions.Demonstrated data analysis skills and the ability to understand the business processes and data.Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication and organizational skills required with ability to work with all management levels.Advanced experience in PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office Excel.
