The successful candidate will be collaborative, open, transparent, and team-oriented with a focus on team empowerment & shared responsibility, flexibility, continuous learning, and a culture of automation.Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Baltimore, Maryland is seeking a Staff Microelectronics Product Engineer for our Advanced Technology Laboratory (ATL). The qualified candidate will have a general knowledge of digital or RF circuit design, test and semiconductor manufacturing. Primary duties involve performing electrical data analysis and yield monitoring to support the development and production of externally fabricated semiconducting integrated circuits. Responsibilities also include supporting test and assembly process flows, maintaining and refining specifications, and communicating status to program management. Candidate will join a product engineering team working closely with multiple ATL programs and area managers to achieve on-time delivery of products.As a Product Engineer you will interface with both peers and representatives from design, assembly, test, inspection, product integration, and program management. You will work to summarize program status, drive root cause analysis, identify areas for improvement, and coordinate efforts to drive them to completion. Candidates must have an aptitude for data manipulation and analysis via tools such as JMP and/or custom programming via languages such as Python. He/she must also have the ability to communicate with employees at all levels in the organization, lead engineering teams, and be able to demonstrate excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills. #NGATLBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Engineering or other closely related technical field with 9 years of relevant experience (7 years with an MS; 4 years with a PhD)Experience in the design, fabrication, and test of semiconductor devicesExperience with data analysis using tools such as JMP, SAS, R, Tableau, Python, or other data analysis softwarePreferred Qualifications:PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Engineering or otherDeep understanding of analog, digital and RF device test and characterization techniquesUnderstanding of statistics and process controlExperienced with semiconductor qualification and reliability mechanismsYield enhancement or manufacturing experience including six sigma disciplinesExperience with programming/scriptingExperience leading engineering teams Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.Salary Range: 119800 - 179600Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
