Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.In the Undersea System campus, we are searching for a multi-talented Electronics Design Engineer for various undersea vehicles and systems. The Electronics Engineer will serve as an electrical & electronics lead and primary technical resource on integrated project teams (IPT). Responsibilities include collaborating with systems, software, mechanical, manufacturing & quality engineers to: determine hardware requirements for systems; determine hardware architectures; develop hardware designs; define/maintain power budgets; perform trade studies on hardware products; select developmental & operational hardware; document firmware & hardware (schematics & fabrication drawings for custom circuit cards, drawer/rack/system wiring & cabling); develop engineering test requirements and unit/subsystem/system test plans ; and perform hardware test & system integration.Must have thorough knowledge of, and experience in designing high-speed digital circuits for data acquisition, control, telemetry & communications; as well as selection of and interfacing with COTS hardware and various sensor types. Must be well-versed in design and troubleshooting of electronics and electrical systems related to analog/mixed signal, RF, fiber optic systems, AC/DC power, microcontrollers, and serial communication; schematic capture, printed wiring board design and analysis/simulation tools. This position will be located at our Annapolis, MD facility.**This position can be filled as an Electronics Engineer or Principal Electronics Engineer.Basic Qualifications:Basic Qualifications for Electronics Engineer:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field2+ years of relevant experience or 0 years with Master's degreeExperience using CCA design and layout softwarePrinted Circuit Board design and test experienceExperience simulating electrical designs using SPICE or equivalent modeling softwareEligibility to obtain a security clearance.Basic Qualifications for Principal Electronics Engineer:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field5+ years of relevant experience or 2+ years with Master's degree or 0 years with PhDExperience using CCA design and layout softwareExperience simulating electrical designs using SPICE or equivalent modeling softwareEligibility to obtain a security clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated skill using Mentor Graphics Designer/Expedition for CCA design and layoutUtilize SPICE for circuit modeling and system design verificationUtilize Zuken E3 for cable developmentProven ability designing, integrating and testing mixed signal circuitsExperience designing, integrating and testing power conditioning circuits for complex systems of systemsStrong familiarity with underwater systems, including cabling and connector interfacesProfessional background on systems deployed on Naval platformsActive or Current TS/SCI with Polygraph clearanceSalary Range: 1 - 1Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
