Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.The Principal Engineer will be responsible for:Developing viable electronics packaging design solutions for primarily airborne and shipboard applicationsInterfacing with electrical, RF, and digital design counterparts, thermal and structural analysts, and manufacturing teams throughout the design phases of a productDesigning cutting edge analog, digital and/or power supply assembly solutions, utilizing a variety of multiple chip-scale packaging technologies including ceramic, organic, Multi Chip Module, Integrated Microwave Assembly, QFN, BGA, 3DI, Flip Chip, CCA and subassemblies to support sub-system requirementsCoordinating with drafting, manufacturing, mission assurance and supply chain teams to provide consultation as needed for successful fabrication and delivery of completed products**This position can be filled at a level 3 or level 4.Basic Qualifications:Level 3:Completed bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 5 years with Bachelors in Science; 3 years with Masters; 0 years with PhDExperience with AutoCADExperience with NX or other 3D modeling softwareActive DOD Secret ClearanceEffective verbal and written communication, ability to work in a team environmentLevel 4:Completed bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 9 Years with Bachelors in Science; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD.Experience with AutoCADExperience with NX or other 3D modeling softwareActive DOD Secret ClearanceEffective verbal and written communication, ability to work in a team environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience with chip-scale packagingFamiliar with Printed Wiring Board (PWB) design and fabricationFamiliar with metal fabrication techniques, both subtractive and additiveUnderstanding of packaging of organic and ceramic high density modulesSalary Range: 87800 - 131600Salary Range 2: 108900 - 163300Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
