Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is seeking a leader to manage its growing radio frequency (RF) microwave and mixed signal electrical design engineering team. This group is responsible for architecting, designing, verifying, and supporting existing and future RF microwave and mixed signal assemblies including advanced packaging interposers, ferrite devices, manifolds, multi-chip modules, planar array tiles, radiators, and receiver/exciter circuit card assemblies. Group skill sets include trading requirements, package and device trade studies and specification, frequency planning, RF budgeting and chain analysis, board and assembly design, electromagnetic simulation, data reduction and analysis, design verification, and production support.This position is a dual role encompassing both people and project/technical leadership.Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Lead an engineering design functional group of 10 to 15 engineers including performance management, career development, staffing, and merit planningProvide project and technical oversight for design activities performed by the groupMaintain and ensure application of design processes and guidelines used in the groupDevelop proposal inputs and review proposal content for both internal and external customersCollaborate with peer managers to ensure consistency across multiple work groupsSupport department initiatives, recruiting, technology roadmap creation, cross-campus/sector involvement, and internally funded projectsThis position is located in Baltimore, MD. This position will report to the manager of the Electrical Assembly Design & Verification section within Electrical Design & Technology.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Engineering or Technical degreeMinimum 7 years of related engineering experience including responsibility as an integrated product team or technical leadExcellent verbal and written communication skillsBasic understanding of RF electronicsActive Secret Clearance required to start and the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret ClearancePreferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Engineering, Business Management, Engineering Leadership, or equivalent10 years of experience in a multi-disciplined engineering environmentDemonstrated success leading high performance teams as technical, integrated product team, and/or functional leaderRF and mixed signal product design, fabrication, and integration experience including, but not limited to, products in high reliability military applicationsSalary Range: 134200 - 201200Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
