Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Early career Cyber Systems Engineering (Evergreen) opportunities at NG's Tactical Space Systems Division performing System Security Engineering tasks on Space Programs, with responsibilities across Space Segments, Communications Segments, Ground Segments, and in some cases User Segments. Opportunities exist at both Dulles, VA and Gilbert, AZ satellite manufacturing campuses; these are contingent on both continued customer funding and candidates having fully vetted backgrounds that are suitable for working on restricted national security programs:Working as part of an integrated product team (IPT) to architect, implement, and satisfy Risk Management Framework (RMF) CyberSecurity, CyberResilience, and/or CyberSurvivability requirements of: satellite systems, communications links, and ground command & control (C2) systems.Allocating system-level requirements (commonly expressed as security controls), which includes working as part of the systems engineering team to decompose system-level security requirements across relevant Segments, Subsystems and down to specific Components. This allocation process includes requirements associated with secure program protection requirements across Systems Security Engineering specialty areas, including the following disciplines: Software Security Assurance, Anti-Tamper, TEMPEST, COMSEC Key Management, and cryptographic component integration.Preparing Systems Security Plan (SSP) documentation for complex space systems, including Risk Assessment Reports (RAR), Security Control Traceability Matrices (SCTM), and Security Assessment Plans/Reports.Contributing to systems development activities, specifically hardening systems to meet secure baseline requirements, such as DISA STIGs or CIS Benchmarks, for Commercial, Off-The-Shelf (COTS) technologies. And/or supporting, component engineers in the hardening of custom-built hardware/software.Preparing and Executing assessment procedures to verify conformance with Commercial, Federal Civilian agency, Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community, IA/Cyber security controls, and or survivability requirements, as required based on the specified customer/system requirements and risk threshold.For terrestrial systems, deploying security solutions such as two-factor authentication products, firewalls, anti-virus, anti-malware, security audit log aggregation products (SIEM tools) and configuring PKI services.Supporting systems engineering, assembly, integration, and test activities for security-critical components, such as Cross Domain Solutions, cryptographic devices, and controlled interfaces.Conducting secure system maintenance activities as a privileged user, specifically but not limited to performing, routine audit log reviews, scanning for vulnerabilities, scanning for configuration compliance to hardening standards, and patching COTS firmware and software.Supporting Cyber Test & Evaluation (cyber vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, adversarial assessment) of systems to meet critical program milestones.Basic Qualifications:Must have US Citizenship with active or current Top Secret security clearance, active SCI, and DCID 6/4 eligibilityBachelors Degree in STEM Science Technology Engineering Math2 years IT security experience, any federally regulated industryImplementing the Risk Management Framework (RMF) NIST 800-37 and/or NIST 800-53 controls in unclassified environments (or ICD-503 or JSIG)Securing complex systems composed of COTS HW/SWSTEM-focused Masters Degree can substitute for experience.Any DoD 8570 IT Security certification, such as Security+Preferred Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Aerospace Engineering2 years Cyber Systems Engineering experience in the Defense Aerospace Industry performing:Security requirements analysis and decompositionHardening systems composed of both COTS and Custom HW/SWExposure to national security requirements for classified systems.Demonstrated knowledge of Systems Engineering processes, applying security to embedded systems, engineering review milestones and SDLC.Salary Range: 81700 - 122500Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
