Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.This Systems Engineer role is located in Dulles, VA, supporting a space-to-ground communications network program within the National Security Space Systems business area.Systems Engineering responsibilities include:Performing technical planning and analyses at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.Ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.Performing functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.Assisting new business activities such as conceptual design and analysis for proposals and funded studies, and may include authoring sections for both.Interfacing with clients, as well as interacting regularly with internal engineering associates and program management.Candidates must be able to work well within a multi-disciplined engineering team; candidates will be called upon to support other activities, including architecture studies, and mission support, in addition to traditional Systems Engineering functions.
