ABC Care inc. is one of the largest before and after school childcare programs in Maryland with 12 centers located in Carroll County and one in Baltimore County. Because of our split schedule, we are able to offer flexible hours in the morning or the late afternoon throughout the school year. Our positions can accommodate individuals looking for full time employment and those needing part time due to college or high school class schedules. ABC Care offers great positions for those individuals entering the field of education or who are currently working in the school age environment. Job Summary: The Site Director is responsible for the operation of a high quality program designed to meet the developmental and enrichment needs of the enrolled children. Under the direct supervision of the District Manager, the Site Director coordinates the orientation, training and on-going supervision and evaluation of all on site employees. Responsibilities : Position includes both administrative responsibility and direct supervision of a group of children. Maintain licensing requirements Supervise and evaluate support staff Develop relationship with staff, children, families and host school Develop age appropriate lesson plans to engage children in center activities Qualifications: Age 21 years or older High School Diploma or GED CPR and First Aid class Must be able to bend at a 45 degree angle, must be able to lift 30 lbs, must be able to twist body both left and right, must be able to sit on the ground and get up successfully without assistance of another person, must be able to squat, must be able to stand a minimum of 4 hours, must be able to walk up and down stairs. Having a driver's license to be able to get from one center to another in a timely manner is preferred. Willing to take continuing education classes One 3-credit class on child development One 3-credit class on school age level curriculum 400 hours of documented experience with school age children One of the following: Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, or any four-year degree that concentrates on school age children from kindergarten through eighth grade and includes child development and school age curriculum; AA Degree in Education or Psychology; Bachelor's Degree in an unrelated field and 400 hours as a School Age Child Care Teacher (SACCT); or Nine (9) months' experience as a school age provider and one (1) year of college Benefits: Paid time off Paid Holidays Salaried position Life insurance No weekends or nights
