SUMMARY The Electronic Security Lead Technician will support assessment, installation, repair and configurations for electronic security and critical infrastructure systems; specifically, in direct support of IRS FICAM PACS upgrades. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Includes the following: Reviews scopes and existing conditions of sites to verify and document electrical, communication and system requirement and/or deficiencies related to the proposed systems. Provides input for system BOM(s), infrastructure requirements and consumables needed for fulfilling project requirements. Provides Tier 2 and Tier 3 Technical Support, Troubleshooting and Diagnostics on Electronic Security and infrastructure systems to field and end user support staff. Conducts lead role in installation, wiring, termination and configuration of electrical and communication systems. Conducts lead role in validation and verification of installation, repairs and configurations in accordance with federal and OEM requirements. Assists with daily site reports, and supporting system verification and testing through the duration of the project. Travels to various locations across the continental United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, to perform work, as needed. SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY No supervisory or management authority. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree, or 10 years of demonstrated experience installing, configuration and repairing electronic security systems. OEM Certification of Hirsch/Identiv required. OEM Certification for Lenel preferred. OEM Certification of Bosch, Pelco, Milestone, or Avigilon preferred. 10-Hour OSHA certification required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Excellent oral, verbal, and written communication skills Ability to read, notate and markup electrical schematics and diagrams Ability to read, notate and markup communication schematics and diagrams Ability to wire and configure low voltage systems Working knowledge of HSPD-12, FIPS 201-2 NIST publication 800-16-3 Ability to get in narrow spaces, climb ladders/stairs, and carry 50+ lbs.' without assistance Must have correctable 20/20 vision (glasses or contacts) without colorblindness Knowledge of MS Office products. Ability to learn specialized software programs Must have successfully completed GSA mandated federal PACS Vendor certification testing conducted by the Smart Card Alliance known as Certified System Engineer ICAM PACS (CSEIP) certification program Must have a valid US passport Must be able to travel up to 90% of the time in order to work at various locations across the continental US including Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico with a possibility of OCONUS travel, as well. Must be a US citizen Ability to pass extensive criminal background check, drug test, and credit check WORK ENVIRONMENT Work efforts are done remotely with required travel.
