Dependability is as core to our business as it is to our products.Job DescriptiondlhBOWLES is currently seeking an Engineering Technician to join our Engineering department based in our Columbia, MD location. This is an entry level / early career position. If you are pursuing technical vocational school, a two-year engineering technology degree or two-year engineering program for transfer to a four-year school, you may be our ideal candidate. We will train you.Position Summary: The Engineering Technician supports our Validation Lab and helps the team ensure we supply the highest quality parts to our customers.The Engineering Technician is a team member who specializes in the understanding and diagnosis of dlhBOWLES, Inc. products such as powertrain and washer system components. Duties include part measurement layouts with state-of-the-art optical equipment, conducting testing to provided procedure, recording data, summarizing results in a report and making recommendations for improvements. The Engineering Technician also performs material testing, diagnosis of customer returned parts and warranty parts and troubleshoots problems with prototype and production parts. Occasional light fabrication using shop tools is also available to technicians with the aptitude to fabricate their own test setups and other interesting internal projects.Positions Requirements: Experience: 0-2 years of prior work experience in a laboratory setting recommended but not required.Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required.Ability to multitask/manage multiple test requests with due datesSome experience with mechanical devices is beneficial.Education: . High school graduate or equivalent..
