Every day, our 22,000 employees do the cant be done, solving the most daunting challenges facing our customers.ResponsibilitiesThe Configuration Management Technical Specialist will establish and maintain configuration management policies and procedures to be utilized by program personnel and other participating functions to ensure a standard and cost-effective approach to the application of configuration and data management requirements. Fundamental to this objective is the establishment, control, and maintenance baselines. Baselines are reference points for maintaining development and control. These baselines, or reference points, are established by review and acceptance of requirements, design, and product specification documents.Responsibilities:Will support the Project planning process and help establish the direction necessary to assess and control the progress of a project.Work with Management to provide a tailored enterprise configuration management processes and practices.Recommends and establishes configuration management documentation.Provide Action Item tracking: maintain a division level action tracking system for all related projects. Present actions items status to customer management on a weekly basisAssist with development of programmatic documents and plans.Support the facilitation and coordination with external organizations if necessary.Develop a systematic approach for identifying and handling change requests.Supports the review of schedules and system configuration changes specified by management and other functional groups through the Request for Change (RFC) process.Will recommend the use of configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting.May be asked to train Systems Engineers, System Integrators and staff in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of CM quality standards.May be asked to work with standard commercial software products used for configuration management (eg, DOORS,JSMART,etc.)QualificationsRequires 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or 5 to 7 years with PhD.TS/SCI w/Poly. (Active)10+ years of programmatic or systems integration experience.Demonstrated expertise with development and implementation of strategic plans and communications plans.Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.Demonstrated experience with various communications tools.Motivated self-starter who excels in dynamic, high-visibility environment.Strong written and verbal communications skills.
