About the role: Robinhood is looking to hire a senior professional to join our team as Manager, Government Affairs. This role will focus on government affairs related to federal and state legislative and regulatory matters, and will report to our Deputy General Counsel of Litigation & Regulatory Enforcement, and Government Affairs. We are looking for a highly adaptable and collaborative person who can handle ambiguity and rapidly shifting priorities with flexibility and patience. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company and contribute to our mission to democratize finance for all. What you'll do day-to-day: Provide coverage for and analysis of congressional hearings and legislation, regulatory policy meetings and actions, and regulatory advisory committee meetings. Monitor current events to provide insight to management and key internal stakeholders on important upcoming policy matters.A' Conduct extensive policy research in the areas of stock and cryptocurrency investing. Develop partnerships to help drive policy efforts. Facilitate policy conversations and long-term partnerships with relevant stakeholders. Engage with Congress and state legislatures, federal and state regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders on emerging policy issues. About you: JD preferred but not required, educational background in Public Relations, Political Science or related fields. 3-6 years of experience working in the legislative branch, lobbying firm or law firm/company government affairs department. Knowledge of financial services, cryptocurrency and/or stock investing. Strong research and writing skills.A' Existing relationships and positive rapport with relevant government stakeholders and industry groups. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; extraordinary ability to communicate information effectively internally and externally and to drive cross-functional alignment and action. Execution oriented attitude with the humility, drive, and creativity to get things done.
